This Wednesday evening night was week 2 in our study of the book of Daniel. To say that it was interesting would be an understatement. The youth were allowed to witness the abilities of Justin in the area of mind-reading. (For more info ask a youth)

The account opens up with King Nebbie (that’s what we call Nebuchadnezzar) calling for the astrologers, sorcers and magicians to interpret the dream he had. This was a revealing request that sent ol’ King Nebbie into a rage because he discovered his “advisors” were all fake. So how does he handle it? He orders everyone killed that professes to be an interpreter, magician, sorcerer, or astrologer.

Justin related through Scripture how dangerous it is to participate in these acts and also warned what God’s punishment is for these acts.

Justin also stressed the importance of prayer in times of crisis and need by showing how Daniel went with his friends and prayed about the situation they were placed in as well as ol’ King Nebbie’s dream.

It was great to see the youts'(that’s what we call ’em) get so involved with the teaching and to see their interest piqued in new ways.

I’m looking forward to next week when we will discuss Ol’ Nebbie’s statue and the prophecy that goes along with it.

If you know a youth (6th-12th grade) not attending church on Wendesday night, invite them to be with us for this exciting series.
