Video games have affected all walks of life. I don’t know many people under the age of 40 who do not  or never have played a video game. I will say the 30-40   do not become junkies, although I am sure there are a few out there. The weirdest thing for me though, is that my  mom owns a wii and plays it quite often. In her defense she keeps kids at her home all the time, so she has an excuse ( but you should see her play it, she gets ruthless!).

I am not opposed to video games. I have been known to play guitar hero, halo, and need for speed but it doesn’t consume my time.  I do believe that there are better things to spend your time on but I also see the value in letting off some steam playing the occasional game.

So what do you think? Are video games evil and morphing the minds of our innocent youth and young adults? Are they harmless  and good for teaching manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination?
