Voddie Baucham is known for his book “Family Driven Faith”. He is also known for ticking women off, because of his views of women in the home, workplace, and the church. Oddly enough he is one of the most sought after speakers at conferences and seminars because of his biblical view of the church, the family, and even feminism.

What’s happened to our families? Voddie explains that it is a natural progression of the culture. Why is this? It could be that the entire message and battle cry of the 60’s and 70’s was “Who cares?” and “It’s all about me!” This thinking that “truth is left to me to define” and “I am the master of my own fate”, has finally snowballed into the culture that our children experience today.

Who’s dropped the ball? We all have. How can we pick the ball up and save the game? By taking back our families and raising our children according to God’s word and His standards. It’s not the church’s job to teach your children spiritual truth and it’s not their job to raise them.  When we take responsibility for the family God has blessed us with and do the hard job of being a spouse and a parent, God will be honored and glorified through our obedience.
