The Koran burning scheduled to take place in my home state this Saturday is all the buzz on TV and internet right now.

I wonder if the pastor realizes that this hurts Christianity more than it promotes it. I agree with Ed Stetzer‘s tweet yesterday, “Glad I live where people have the freedom to burn a Qur’an. Wished I live where pastors had the discernment not to.” and also Rick Warren’s tweet:”I believe in the separation of church and hate.” I agree with Al Mohler that this will not serve the purposes of the gospel. I agree with Trevin Wax that this is a faux controversy that has been manufactured by the media. I agree with Tony Reinke that Acts 19:11-20 in no way supports burning Korans.I agree with Denny Burk who says this is a non-issue and doesn’t need anymore media attention given to it. I agree with countless others who have given a variety of reasons for why this is a bad idea.

Enough said.
