Yesterday I posted a video on hard work and America’s dysfunction with it.

There isthe belief that if you work hard, you can have anything you want, and this is probably true if you are privileged to live in a country like America, where it is possible. But what if you lived in a third world country? Where you work hard all day and you still don’t have food to put on your table.

I have not read Radical.  I have read several reviews and our pastor has mentioned it in his sermons many times over the past few months.  But the idea expressed in the book is not so much radical if you look at your life in context with what the Bible teaches.

Giving of yourself, your time, your money, & your talent is not a new concept but it is unheard of in today’s culture. Living for the sake of someone other than yourself is unpopular. But that’s what the Bible calls us to do.

What are you working for?

Who are you living for?
