Some time back I received 100 Devotions, 100 Bible Songs by Stephen Elkins to review from booksneeze.com. I was excited to receive it because we also have 100 Bible Stories, 100 Bible Songs by Stephen Elkins.
Being a father of younger children, the book is attractively illustrated, and easy to understand for younger audiences, and it covers principles found in both the Old and New Testaments.
The devotionals in the book are what you would expect for young readers: short, to the point, and easy to understand. It also lends itself to teaching and encouraging kids to pray and worship. I especially liked how each devotion would tell you which bible song to play in order to emphasize each devotion.
While this is a book for children, there are a few devotions that could use some further explaining, but all in all it’s a great book for morning, evening or anytime devotions. For parents who struggle to spend time with their kids in devotion, this book would be a great way to start, because all you have to do is set aside some time and read!
The compact disc has 100 Bible songs, many of which, would be familiar to anyone who grew up in Sunday School but their were still many on there that I was not familiar with.
100 Devotions, 100 Bible Songs is a great product to help you begin devotions with your children or grandchildren and the accompanying compact disc is a great resource to have as well.
I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com <http://BookSneeze®.com> book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review.
